Aliens need as well as the arts. As Bob said, they need music, piano, but we can also have a virtual gallery on the ship, like many galleries in the world. We need to show the world the art into every corner of the universe. Each painting has its style,such as landscape,portrait,abstract so on.It will has contemporary pantings,or some ancient pantings.i want to show everyone to see our art in a different light. so, from my perspective, it is very important to let aliens know our pantings culture because there are really so much gems in the world. then,they can know us better.

I think what differentiates our species from other species are language, and the arts. I know of no other species that has artistic representations. I could be wrong, but I think only humans make art. I appreciate that you focused on this aspect. Moreover, many of our paintings depict much of human society like eating, marriage, wars, religious ceremonies, landscapes, etc. What a brilliant idea!
