In the book Charlie and the chocolate factory, there are five children went into the huge chocolate factory. And in these kids, Charlie is the most unusual one of them. Because he was born in a poor and hungry family, so the others children are all think they are the centre of the whole world, they do not care about other people. But Charalie is not. He was very poor at first, so he is good to the others and he is very compassionate. And maybe that is why he did not pass away. The other bad kids were all dead because they do not have any compassionate.

I like the way you introduced the book first before talking about Charlie. That's exactly what a writer is supposed to do when writing about a fictional character.

And you are exactly right about the difference between Charlie and the rest of the kids.  Your use of the word "compassionate" is also exactly right. There are lots of things to admire here. Nice work!

Hello,Laraine

The other four children that got the Golden Ticket, are all selfish, they never care about what other people think, they only take the things they want. But Charlie is diffirent from them. Charlie is compassionate. Before he got the Golden Ticket, his family was very poor and they were very hungry. When  charlie's mother wants to give her bread to Charlie,Charlie knows she is hungry too. So even he needs more nourishment,he still give the food back to his mother. When he and his Grandpa Joe are in Wonka's Chocolate Factory, other four children want to get every things they want, and they never care about Mr Wonka's feeling. But Charlie didn't do those foolish things, because he knows if he do these, he will smudge Mr Wonka's chocolate or dirty his clean factory. And Charlie's family will worry for him.

In Charlie and the chocolate factory, the main character Charlie has the most different childhood with other children. Charlie’s childhood doesn’t have any sweets, chocolate, toys, or even happy. When other children are playing, he is thinking about what he will eat for supper. When other children are eating sweets, he is eating lettuce. When other children are playing toys, he is helping her mom to do some clean. Charlie doesn’t a childhood what a child should have.

Hi Cindy, I like very much how concrete you make your statement about Charlie's childhood, mentioning that he doesn't have sweets, toys, or even happiness. And this sentence is just a jewel when it comes to summing up how Charlie lives:"When other children are playing, he is thinking about what he will eat for supper." I'm impressed, too, that you have started to use conscious repetition of sentence structure (in the sentences beginning "When other children...) to create a stylistic effect  Nice work!
