To begin reflecting on Kate Shelley and the Midnight Express, please explain what being responsible means to you in a few sentences. Have you done anything responsible recently or seen someone else be responsible? In class, we will think together about the ways in which Kate is responsible.

To me, being responsible means being held accountable for my actions. When I think about responsibility, I think about helping others. I acted responsibly recently this summer when my mom was sick, so I made dinner for my family and gave my mom medicine so that she would recover quickly.
Please post your responses as well.
Teng, yes! I believe when you helped your friend after they lost their job, you acted responsibly, because you cared for another person and took it upon yourself to provide them food as if it were your obligation. I am sure your friend appreciated you very much.
The character in the book was being responsible to others, but I think we should start to take the responsibility from the basis, which I mean we are obliged to be responsible for ourselves.
The recent behavior which I think is responsible is that once we had a test , almost all of my classmates cheated to get a fake good grade, but I did not do so because I think the spirit of tests is to examine whether we got the point of each class. Once we cheat, the test loses its value and it is just a cruel paper with the shame and irony on it. I distinguish my behavior from others' to keep me an honest student.
I think this is the tiny one of all the events that we are responsible.
