We discussed a lot of great words this week in class. I will list them below with descriptions or pronunciation tips.
Please respond on the forum using one to three of the new words in sentences.
- Terraced = The stone walls that keep farms on a hill from becoming a mudslide. (See Picture!)
- Ancestors = The family members who came before you (like your great-great grandfather)
- Supper = Another word for "Dinner."
- Moss = Green slimy or moldy looking plant. (See picture)
- Wrinkles = the lines that appear on skin when we get older.
- Uneven = If you use this word to describe a street or path, then it means ground that is not straight; it is bumpy or rocky.
- Steep = When a mountain goes straight up instead of slowly inclining like a hill.
- Ripples = Small waves in ocean water that make it appear beautiful
- Tender = A texture that is not crunchy or hard. It is soft and easy to touch or eat.
- Anxious = Nervous or excited
