I just posted a video clip of an interview with Kathryn Stockett, made before the book became a blockbuster movie. In light of the listening section of the TOEFL, I thought it would be good for you to see and hear an interview. In a classroom, the English will be spoken at a slower and clearer pace, but the interview is more like what you will be exposed to when you arrive in the States. In other words, I think it's good practice to hear English spoken by people who are assuming everyone is a native speaker.
Also, notice the use of the word "irony" in the interview, which we just discussed in class. I found it interesting, too, that in the interview with two people, the interviewer mainly spoke to one.
