Homework:

1. Read the attached article on Jackie Robinson. Think about the similarities between Jackie and Shirley (from the book).

2. Create 3 discussion questions to lead during class.

3. Find 1 EXTERNAL and 1 INTERNAL conflict. Explain why they are internal and why they are external. Post it on the forum.

4. You don't need to post this on the forum, but I need you to make notes in your book:

Make notes of all questions that you have about the book, it can be about vocabulary, phrases you don't understand, or ANYTHING that you didn't understand in the book. Ask me in class.

Shirley forget to turn off the fuses mom looks like very impatience.

One external conflict:

I think the students called Shirley Jackie Robinson is. Because Mable said she's pigeon-toed.

Shirley wants to help senora to take care her house, but she still worry about will her parents angry.

External conflict:

Senora wants to go back again. To see her Nonnie.

But she can’t no one care her house.
