Please read p. 78-118 (Chapters 14-19) of The Westing Game

Your writing assignment is to write a private dialogue between two of the characters in The Westing Game (1 page).  The conversation you create can be talking about anything, as long as you feel like it could fit into the novel.  Consider the characters, the relationship they have with their partners, and what they usually like to talk about.  Here are your assigned characters to write a conversation of:

Shirley: Grace Windsor Wexler and James Shin Hoo

Janet: Flora Baumbach and Turtle Wexler

Lola: Judge J. J. Ford and Alexander McSouthers

Please translate the "transcript of a taped interview" with Sybil Pulaski on p.118 in Ch. 19 beginning “Bertha Erica Crow?..” Translate it into Chinese.  Then, looking at your Chinese translation, translate it back into English using your own words.

Have fun!

Alexander McSouthers: I am afraid not yet, judge.
Ford: Well then i have to find it myself.
Alexander: Oh judge just let me help you. We can do it together. What do you think they are, they really are?
Ford: Everything looks confusing right now, but i am sure there is something that we miss, they are too close to see.
