Lola's Homework:

Katie said that because her uncle asked her if he could beat Lynn with the marble chess set he'd bought. Katie thought that uncle could never win Lynn so she chose telling the truth instead of being polite.
I think the difficult problems i have met is that i have to make a decision on whether to do what i like or to do what i should do in the daily life because i don't have enough time.

(1)I think Katie become more and more mature and she also can solve things by herself. She can ‘t leave Lynn before, and many things she need Lynn to tell her, she is clumsiness and can’t know things very well, can’t understand many things. But when she grown up day by day, she also become a big girl. She can solve things on her own and can help Lynn, too! She can face the problem on her own, when Lynn died, she is really grown up. She tried to let her family become optimistic and happy again. Also doing things very well without Lynn.

(2)I like this book very much and I will recommend it to my classmates. Because this is a story about love and care. When you read about Katie and Lynn you can feel they are growing up. They took care about each other they love each other. The face the problem together and solve it. I learn about brave, care and love. I saw how to love each other, It;s too late to feel the love from others when they died and too late to love others when they are gone. So we need to save the time remember every minutes when you are with the people you love. Also we need to face the problem bravely, be optimistic and remember to smile!

Lola's Homework:

Question 1
The story is told by Katie. So the story's development depends on Katie, and Katie's emotion is the key to the whole story. At first, Katie was happy and simple because of the joyful childhood and precious experiment with Lynn. For instance, once they were in the corn fields, Lynn saved Katie from the barking dog, which Lynn thought Katie saved her instead. So from this we can see that Katie and Lynn were very closed and loved one another so much. And that might be the happiest time in Katie's life. We can feel the same happiness as Katie. But then, their family had to move to Georgia in order to get more money for a new house. And that was also the time Lynn and Katie's life got a great change. Discrimination was everywhere in their life, they didn't have friends in school, even their parents could' t be treated well. Katie's emotion got even lower when Lynn finally made friend with Amber. Unfortunately Lynn went astray because of Amber. Things got a little better when their little brother Sammy was born. Katie understood that she had to grow up and took the responsibility. But then the things even got worse, Lynn got badly ill and Sammy got hurt in an accident. So the story went sad and serious. In the end, Lynn gone peacefully, and Katie really grew up. We have seen Katie grew from a little girl to a responsible big girl. And i think it is also our own growing up.
Question2
I think Kira-kira is a really fascinating book, and it is well worth reading it. I like it very much because i have learnt a lot of things from reading it. Love, friendship, responsibility, facing troubles, these are the things that we really need to think and to learn. And i will absolutely recommend to others.Because Katie is just like you and me, although we didn't have such amazing experience so far, but everyone needs to grow up and take the responsibility, and this book gives me a direction on how to be a good person. And that might be the most valuable thing that i have learnt in my life.
