Homework for Class #4: Kira-Kira

You will have three weeks to read the next chapters and reread the parts you didn't understand in Kira-Kira. For our next class on January 9, please read Ch. 10- 13 (pages 129- 200).

Then, anytime before that class, send me an email with your essay response to this question (250 words minimum):

Discuss the relationship between Lynn and Katie. Katie says, "Lynn took care of me. I took care of Sammy. And we all took care of one another" (Ch.5 p.59). How does this change as the story progresses?

Last, please translate the paragraph on p.184 beginning “I ignored my sister and brother…” Remember what we talked about--put it into your own words in Chinese and then again into your own English phrases.
