- grimaced= face of pain
- piercing scream = a scream so loud it hurts
- kaleidoscope = the toy that makes beautiful pictures and can constantly change pictures
- arguing = fighting with words
- rhododendron = a pretty flower bush
- perfume = the spray that women put on to smell good
- obediently = doing what you're told
- indignation = a feeling of anger or annoyance
- circulating = something that moves around, like blood in the body or news between friends
- tightly = holding something tightly is not letting it go.
