First, in the story Lon Po Po, the mother who had three children was going to visit grandmother. However, the Little Red Riding Hood was an only-child and she went to visit her grandma alone. Second, I think the wolf in the story Little Red Riding Hood was cleverer than the other, Because he played a trick on the little girl. Last, the children in Lon Po Po were calm and made a judgment effectively and quickly when they noticed their Po Po was a wolf, and the Little Red Riding Hood did nothing but eaten by the wolf.
I prefer the version Lon Po Po because this story shows how brave and calm the children was. It teaches me to be calm when I was in danger. I benfited from this story a lot.
I like Lon Po Po more. Here are two reasons to explain why.
Firstly, Little Red Riding Hood is a little bit out of touch with reality but Lon Po Po isn't. How can Little Red Riding Hood be alive in the wolf's stomach? That is ridiculous and weird. In the book Lon Po Po, the three chidren used a clever way to kill the wolf, and I really appreciate it.
Secondly, Lon Po Po is more meaningful than Little Red Riding Hood. It tells us when we are in danger, we should calm down and think a workable way to make us safe. It is an educational story.
All in all, I like Lon Po Po more.
There are some differences between Lon Po Po and Little Red Riding Hood. First, Little Red Riding Hood met the wolf in her way to her grandma's home, but the wolf came to the three children's home himself in the story Lon Po Po. Second, the wolf didn't eat the three children at first in the story Lon Po Po but the wolf in the story Little Red Riding Hood did. Third, the three children in the story Lon Po Po rescued themself but Little Red Riding Hood was saved by the hunter.
The difference between the two stories
(1)They were written by different people. Little Red Riding Hood was written by Brothers Grimm. Lon Po Po was written by Ed·Young.
(2)Little Red Riding Hood is kind of fairy tale but Lon Po Po is more like a Chinese folk story.
(3)The children in Lon Po Po were cleverer and calmer than the Little Red Riding Hood,but I think the Little Red Riding Hood was just too kind and she was alone.
(4)The wolf died in different ways
I like Little Red Riding Hood.
(1)Although it seems like she was not as calm as the children in Lon Po Po but she was younger than those children and she was alone. We should understand her.
(2)She was brave enough because as her age she could go to her grandmother's house alone and when she was in danger,she tried to do something to rescue not sat on the floor and cried.
(3)Both of the stories were educational but I think Little Red Riding Hood is like a cautionary tale. It reminds me a lot.
(4)I don't know why Ed·Young wanted to write a similar story, although the ending is better, the children are cleverer,Little Red Riding Hood appeared earlier than Lon Po Po and it was an eternal classic.
