For homework, please read carefully and do everything in this list.
1. Read chapters 1 and 2 of Sarah, Plain and Tall.
2. Write a summary of Many Moons. The summary is a short version of the story in your own words. We did something similar in class. It does not need to be in full sentences. Send this to me in an email before class.
3. Answer this question: Many Moons, and stories like it, are creative ways of encouraging us to see things from different perspectives and understand that there is more than one right answer, and more than one way of thinking about something. Perspectives can both prevent us from solving problems, if we can only value our own, and help us if we are willing to listen. How do the characters in Many Moon have different perspectives?
Send this to me in an email before class.
4. Extra credit: Do research--how big is the moon and what is it made of?
