My thoughts of the book:
This is a good book to read.End of this book is happy,beacuse Danmark librate from Germany.And Danes is free.But the end is sad also,Peter dead for free.And we know that anna's sister was dead for free too.For a good Historical fiction Number The Stars told us how war cruelty.Even Peter is a made-up characters we know there are many person like he fight for free,will remember them.Not only Peter Anna is brave too. When she send the handkerchief she didn't care about herself.Uncle Henrik told her that is brave.Nember the stars let me benefit a lot.

Why didn’t they go together?

Thinking:
This is an amazing novel about a young girl named Annemarie, living in Nazi Germany. After reading this book, Annemarie was my new hero. Mrs. Johanson tells the soldiers that Ellen is their other daughter Lise, but the soldiers are sceptical because Ellen has darker hair. Mrs. Johanson shows a baby picture of her daughter Lise to the soldier to show that she had dark hair as a child. Now this is one of my favorite parts, Annemarie hears the soldiers coming up to her bedroom door. She grabs Ellen's necklace (it was the star of David)and sqeezes hard and as the door opens she rips the necklace from Ellen's neck and shoves it under her pillow. This part shows me that Annemarie would risk her life for her friend.
