For homework, please read Chapters 15-18 of Charlotte’s Web.

Please create three meaningful discussion questions to lead our next class and post them on the forum.

Translate the following text from Ch. 16, “ Templeton poked his head up through the straw. ‘Struggle if you must,’ said he, ‘but kindly remember that I’m hiding down here in this crate and I don’t want to be stepped on, or kicked in the face, or pummeled, or crushed in any way, or squashed, or buffeted about, or bruised, or lacerated, or scarred, or biffed. Just watch what you’re doing, Mr. Radiant, when they get shoving you in!’ ”

  1. Why did Fern behave such coldly that she even asked for money to play when everyone saw the blue tag on Uncle’s pen?
  2. In Chapter 18, when Charlotte told Wilbur that she was “making something” not on the web, why did Wilbur ask in a tone which regarded “something” a proper thing for HIM?
  3. The miracle was happened on Charlotte’s web, however, why nobody noticed Charlotte at the fair?

1.In the chapter Uncle, do you think Uncle is a good pig? And why?

2.What's Charlotte's opinion towards Uncle? Why did Charlotte denied Uncle so much?

3. Mrs Arable was worried about Fern a lot, because Fern said she can hear the animals. By the end of the last chapter that we need to read this week, is Mrs Arable still worried about Fern? And from which part you can detect it?
