Post responses on the forum to the following questions (3 sentence minimum for each question):

  1. How does Sara feel responsible for Charlie? Is she resentful and annoyed? Is she happy about it? How would you feel if you were Sara?
  2. Why do you think self-acceptance and self-understanding are important? How do these two aspects affect Sara, Wanda, and Charlie throughout the story?

Also, translate the first paragraph on p.43 into Chinese. You do not need to post your translation on the forum, but instead be prepared to translate your work back into English during our next class.

Please prepare your favorite quote or part from each chapter to discuss in class.

As Charlie's sister, Sara was really worried about Charlie's missing. I read the book chapter 11, on page 58, she found Charlie was not in the house, she told her aunt and statred finding anxiously. If I'm Sara, I will be so careful about Charlie, because he can't speak and sometimes he's abnormal. Sara and Charlie were always stay together, and Sara helped Charlie a lot, maybe it mada Charlie doesn't have good self-understanding, and he was gravititated by the swans, he wanted to have that freedom, he wanted to be like swans. He waned to find back his self-acceptance because he's an amentia.
