The assignment is to assume humans have sent a space ship the size of a medium sized room out into outer space with the intention of explaining human civilization to an alien life form.  What would you want in your spaceship?  Among items we discussed in class were: books, fire, pictures of human beings, paper, stone tablets with numbers, a light, a USB, and a computer.  We still have a lot of room we can use and don't want to waste it!  What else should we put in the ship???

I think we should also put things like piano but they play automatically, because I think we should let the aliens know about our music, it’s also a very important part of life. We should put circuit board to let them know that we know about electricity. We also should show them the periodic table of chemical elements (whether they understand it or not) because it can show the aliens what do things on earth made of. And we should put some food and water to let the aliens know what we live on.

And by the way, this is Bob, but i can't change my name for some reasons.

Bob - what a great idea about the periodic table!  I never thought of that before.  That is probably essential as an alien civilization/people needs to understand our planet!  I also appreciate the self-playing piano.  Music is part of what makes homo sapiens unique.  Music is a reflection of the human spirit.

Speaking of a piano, on another "note" I have asked that we try and fix your name on here.  Give it a day or so.  See you Saturday!
