  • What is the importance of the square candies that look round?
  • What happened to Veruca? How did she fall into the chute?
  • Is the elevator that they ride on normal? If not, how is it different from a normal elevator? Would you want to ride on one?

Mr.Wonka is my favorite chapter.

Because he has abundant imagination and a super smart brain.Just like Granpa Joe said: he was marvelous! He invented many unbelievable things, such as the unmelted chocolate and the chocolate waterfall. He could imagine this kind of strange and interesting things plus he could even create it. it is incredible.

And he was also warm hearted. When charlie and his grandpa felt really starve and nobody wanted to help them, mr.wonka gave them a hand ----a little chocolate. With a small detail, we can see how kind he was.

The most interesting point is sometimes he is immature, even though he is quite old. To my surprise, as he came into the invention room, he acted like a child-----he run around the room many times. He was really proud of himself, just like a kid want to show of himself.

he was great merchant. He used some cacao beans to persuade oompa- loompish to come to work with him without any many. He knew who is fit to his factory and use the thing he had a lot to exchange them.

I think the chapter that said Veruca fell into the chute is the most interesting. Because I like the writer's description about Mr. and Mrs. Veruca. They were afraid of falling into the chute but at last they fell into it with the help of squirrels. This consequence was made by Veruca's parents. They shouldn't content everything Veruca wants. I also like he description about the machine how to make the gum. (on P92) There is a sentense, it saids"All the blue frothy mixture i the huge basin was sucked back into the stomach of the machine". The sentense is very cute, and full of imaginations.

I also love that chapter, Kitty.  The squirrels helped show what kind of people the Veruca's were.  They even could tell that Veruca was a bad nut by knocking on her head!

There's just one correction we can work on, and that is the use of the word "content."  I think you mean to say "consent to."  Content means two things: an adjective meaning satisfied (I am content) and a noun meaning the material in a book or webpage (The contents say this.)  ConSENT means to to give in to one's wish.  So Veruca's parents consent to her every wish.
