My ideas: · 10 Cooks When I first chose cooks, I was thinking that there were 100 people that needed food to survive. But Rebecca reminds me of the special circumstance on the lifeboat that we may not even have a kitchen. Also, most fish we got from the sea do not require complex process. So I may cut the number of cooks to 5. · 5 Cleaners We actually do not need 5 cleaner for the limited space on the lifeboat. People can do some cleaning by themselves as well. So I think one position for a cleaner is enough. Andrey’s ideas: · Liaison man I like the idea of liaison men very much. People need to work closely on the boat so that we need to avoid conflict between them. · Diva I appreciate the idea of diva. Not only the music can release people’s depress but also high-pitched voice can be sometimes a signal that calls for help from the outside. Rebecca’s idea: · Athlete After concerning the necessity of an athlete, I finally did not put one on my list. But the reason from Rebecca persuades me a lot that athletes have positive sprits such as passion and persistence that will be able to inspire people. · Teacher If we suppose the lifeboat as a society, teachers are surely very essential. But when it comes the special condition on the sea, I become hesitating. The children need to be educated even on the boat and they need to be told the correct attitude to face disasters. In this way, I may offer 4 seats to teachers. Thanks!

What I appreciate most Chloe is how you incorporated the viewpoints of your classmates and changed your perspective!  That is part of what Critical Thinking is about!  I also did not see the possibility that the Diva's voice could also be used to attract outside help.  That was a new view from a different angle and I didn't think of that before!  Nice work!
