HI Enya, I already thought from class that you understood the purpose of a simile. And this assignment showed me I was right. You definitely understand what similes do and how they work. My favorites are 1, 3, and 5. I particularly like the first one about the tiger that had no food. The simile really suggests the disappointment of the "I" in the first part.

I'm going to send you an e-mail with a couple of usage suggestions. But you did a great job. I hope to see some similes in your own writing soon.
