Regulation for Summer Program

Accommodation Regulation

All students in Brown Summer Program are responsible for their own deeds and must comply with our regulations.

1. Speak in English as much as possible.
2. Take proper care of the public property in the dorm and do not damage public facilities.
3. Do not make any noises in the dorm and strictly observe bedtime and quiet hours.
4. No smoking and no alcoholic drinks.
5. Male students and female students are not allowed in each other’s dorm. 
6. Put your things in order and keep the room clean and tidy each day. Dump the rubbish in time into the appointed rubbish collection point. Clean the room regularly for a comfortable environment. Routine sanitation inspection would be conducted by RA and assistants.
7. 7.      Visitors are not encouraged during the program. If they are for a particular case, please tell teachers in advance and show visitors’ information. The allowed visit only takes place at a given time and place. Any visitors are not allowed to audit any classes and for any extra curriculum activities.
8. Do not leave the school without permission during the program.
9. Keep your own valuables safe and all the students’ passports should be turned over to teachers temporarily for unified management.
10. Do not change rooms without permission.
11. Do not leave the dorm without permission. Let the RA knows immediately for discretion if under such circumstances as purchasing daily necessities and emergency medicine or feeling ill.
12. Bring the laundry to the given place and wash them at a given time.

Classroom Discipline

1. Dress code: Attend to the academic courses in uniforms.
2. Assemble on time at a given time and place.
3. Sit on the front seats for class efficiency and show respect and courtesy to teachers. Greet teachers when meeting them and show the gratitude after class.
4. Sit upright and listen to the teacher carefully in the class and do not whisper back and forth unless it is for group discussion.
5. Except the translator, do not use any electronics in the class which would be confiscated for at least 48 hours.

Cafeteria Discipline

1. Assemble at the given time and place.
2. Take the ID card with you when using the cafeteria.
3. Line up consciously and do not make any noises in the cafeteria.
4. Take as much as you can eat and do not waste food. Bring dishes to the appointed place and classify them after dinner.
5. Do not take out food.
6. Assemble after dinner and do not leave without permission.

Travel Discipline

1. Assemble at the given time and place and dress uniforms.
2. Strictly observe the rules and regulations and do not leave without permission during the travel.
3. Strictly observe the traffic rules and submit yourself to RA’s direction.
4. Do not litter and spit and observe the common courtesy.
5. Do not overstay and take photos in hazardous zones. Do not climb on the trees and buildings in the scenic spots.
6. Follow the instructions of RA and play at the given to avoid any injuries caused by the jellyfish. No access to the deep water areas.
7. Do not take photos in the scenic spots when it is not allowed.
8. Keep the vehicles you use clean and do not litter. No graffiti.
9. No risky behavior when traveling by ship.
10. Observe the relevant rules and regulations by the hotel. Do not use or consume anything charged in the hotel. If needed, purchase at the lobby. Do not damage hotel facilities and take away the belongings to the hotel.
11. Follow the arrangement and timetable by the teacher and do not make any noises in the common areas.
12. Do not change rooms without permission.
13. Do not leave the hotel without permission and do not go out alone.
14. No smoking, no alcohol and no gambling during the travel.

Sports Regulation

1. Strictly comply with the dress code.
2. Assemble at the given time and place and strictly follow the arrangement of the RA.
3. No electronics when doing sports such as the cellphone, iPad, headset and so on. Do not take any valuables with you such as wallets except some changes.
4. Follow the instruction by the coach when doing sports and do not try any dangerous sports beyond your abilities without permission.
