Based on our discussion of superstitions in class, answer the following with a written response of no less than 150 words:

What superstition exists in the novel Holes? Is there more than one? How does the belief in each superstition shape the lives of the characters in the story? Consider Elya Yelnats and Madame Zaroni (no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather...), The Warden, her

grandfather, and the holes being dug at Camp Greenlake.

Do you have any superstitions?  For instance, a fear of Friday the 13th, awareness of black cats,  wishing on stars, breaking a mirror, or finding a clover with 4 leaves.

George:

Elya Yelnats and Madame Zaroni believed in curses that Madame said if he failed to bring the piglet up to the moutain and let it drink the water, then he and his descendants would be dommed for all of enternity.
For me, I and my family all believe in god, and we are all christians, and my religon believes that the god made human, so my grandma would pray everyday, every time before a journey, and every challenge she meets. and also I believe the doves is the birds of peace; and that'a prayer for Jesus:"The blood the Jesus Chirst on the cross can wash people's souls and sins. When he came, death and resurrection, and ascention will come again." and " the god love people" something like that, even though I don't believe in all of these prayers, but I think it must be reasonable to create a prayer, that is the religious heart to the god and Jesus Christ, and sometimes when we mistakes, we will pray to the god to forgive us, or let the god or Jesus go into our dreams, let him lead us to a bright way to cross through the darkness.
