For homework, please read Chapters 4-5 of Bridge to Terabithia.

 

So you can remember, here is a vocabulary review of the words we went over in class today: recess, show off, pumping arms, conceited, muddled brain, cutoff pants, to have something in common 

 

Please answer the following. Either send it to me in an email or post it on the forum:

Write down your predictions as to what you believe will happen in the next portion of the reading. What do you want to find out? What else do you think we might learn about the Lark Creek Elementary School, Jess, Leslie, and the other characters?

 

Also, please translate the first page of Ch. 4 from English into Chinese.  Then translate it back to English in your own words.  This section starts with "Because school had started..." and ends with "...and Miss Edmunds was back."

 

Last, don’t forget to be prepared with a favorite quote /part from each chapter for the next class.

Nicole's homework:

1.I think Jess maybe very dissapointed, because he actually wants to be the fastest one. But Leslie runs more faster then him, and she is a girl! 

2.I want to find out will Jess and Leslie become friends or not.

3.I think we might learn about the  other charectors. And Jess's and Leslie's story will be more interesting and fun. And I think the Lark Creek Elementary School will think this probably think it is not good to hurt a boy who's work very hard's heart.

I think that the poor Janice will find who was the "bad guy ",but I believe Jess and Leslie will not be found because they were too smart and had such a crazy idea! But if they get an idea and do it,they won't fail.
Next,I know an important thing : don't make fun of someone whose grade is lower than you,because you may be made fun from some others!
