For homework, please read Ch. 1-6 of Summer of the Swans.

On the forum, please respond to the following:

Think back about our initial discussion of friendship and what type of relationship it is.  After reading the story, what can we add to the definition? For example, you might say that friendship can also change people and help them mature. Having friends and embracing childhood can allow individuals to escape the pressures from the “real world” and be comfortable in their own shoes.  What is your definition of friendship now? You may cite passages from Bridge to Terabithia to strengthen your response.

Translate p.26 of CH. 6 (Summer of the Swans) into Chinese beginning with “The watch was a great pleasure to him…”

Have fun!

Friendship is a priceless medicine it can cure you injuries. Friendship may change your destiny and value. Just like the two leads in the story. Leslie brought happiness and active attitude to Jess, the friendship helped Jess become extroverted. After Jess met leslie, he dared to talk to the Music teacher and let the teacher know that Jess like to draw pictures. If Jess hadn't had the friendship with Leslie, then he wouldn't has the chance to go to the exhibition with Music teacher. So if you make an upright friend, then the relationships between you and her might change your future.
