For homework, please read pages 18 to 36 (Chapters 3, 4, and 5) of Sarah, Plain and Tall, and write your opinions to the following questions:

  • What is Sarah like? What do we learn about her?
  • How does Caleb feel about Sarah? How does Anna feel?
  • How would you summarize these chapters? What are two things that happen?

Last, please create a question of your own, and we will use it to lead a short  discussion next class.

Maggie:

I think Sarah  is very kind. she loves children very much and is willing to pay for their children.Although this man had married and had children,  but she did not care about it,She writes to children with each other like a friend. So I think she is very kind, childlike and tolerant, considerate,so this we all can learn from her and l think Anna is Nice to meet Sarah And want Sarah to go to their home early.
