I am posting for Derica!

1. At the beginning of the book, Katie was a little girl who needed her sister taken good care of. She need her sister’s help with her assignment, she was a big fan of her sister. She always thought that her sister’s dream were her dreams, she saw Lynn as the ideal model of her life. But when Lynn got sick, she became the most important role in the family. Their parents have to work all day long to afford Lynn’s pills, so there must have someone to take care of Sammy and Lynn, then, here she came, she became the “baby-sister” of her brother and sister. She fed Lynn pills and took good care of Sammy all the times, even in the midnight, when she heard Lynn’s groan, she had to get up and serve her. When she knew that Amber deceived her sister and dropped their relationship just because Lynn got a sick, Katie was very angry and she went to revenge for her sister. Also, through the book we knew that while Lynn asked some nail polish, she even went to stole for her, although her mother was angry and felt shame for her, but she thought if this could make my sister happier, then I would rather to do that wrong thing. After Lynn dead, sawing her families were so painful and flagging, she browed a cook book to cook delicious dinner for her families to make them feel better. Through the book, we can saw that Lynn got more mature that she could support her families and brought them out of the pain of Lynn’s dead.

2. When Katie was a little girl, she thought wherever her sister would go, then she would follow here anyway. Through the book we can see that, Katie wasn’t good at school, but when Lynn said she wanted her to go to the college she hesitated and agreed. When Lynn was alive, Katie was kind of following her sister step by step, she wanted to copied her sister’s life and paste on to her own life. After her sister dead, Katie got more mature, to make her parents feel happier, she kept woke hard on school and she got big improvement. I thought her future would be bright, she might go to a good university, and became a effective writer, writing about the special memories with her sister and who did she brought her family out of the sadness.
