The Things we should put in the probe:
·Book
Because if aliens are very intelligent, books are good resources to learn about the cultures, languages, science and history of the earth. They can learn about the way we live and talk here.
·Music
Some musics make us comfortable and relaxed so we can show that we are friendly to the aliens. Music is a great access to a country’s culture as well. Natural music such as the sound of wind and rivers is a good choice since they can simulate a acoustic feeling of the earth.
·Food sample
We may put food samples in glass boxes so that aliens will be able to observe the creatures on the earth and they will not think that those food samples will do harm to their health. We can put a video of a person eating the food to show to the aliens.
·Video of landscapes and people and animals in different areas
If I were an alien, I would like to know about the creates’ appearance and lifestyles first. I would be interested in the special features on the planet. So I think aliens would be the same.
·Painting
Art is an important part of human development. Painting can show people’s personalities and interests.
·Anatomy
Anatomies of human body can help aliens know our body features and know more about us.
·Model of different weather
We can simulate how the climate and weather changes. For example, making models of snowy and windy can show them the diversity of the earth.
·Camera
We need a camera that can pass the image of aliens to the earth to help us collect information for further studies.
·Periodic table (including the samples of elements)
There are different kinds of minerals and elements on the earth. Aliens may find them quite special and they can do researches on them.
·Mirror
Mirror is an interesting thing for a person who has never seen his appearance. Aliens can see themselves by looking at the mirror.
·Video of life
We can play how a baby grows in its mother’s body and becomes old and how a seed starts to grow. These are the origins of life which helps aliens learn the the form of life on earth.
·Series of tools in history
We can put the tools and instruments that we use and show them the development of human’s mind. For example we may put the tools that are made of rocks, wood, iron and steel in history.
·Clock and calendar
Since time is different in space, we want to let the aliens know about the concept of time on the earth.
The things we should not put in the probe:
·Weapons, aggressive music, words and art works
These things are signals of attack. Putting them in the probe means we are not friendly. If the aliens have better technology and armies, once we infuriate them, they will attack the earth.
·Perfume
People have different tastes of perfumes, when it comes to aliens, we are unable to know what they like and what they think is safe for them.
·Living things (such as animals and plants)
Since we do not know which kind of animal or plant is safe for aliens, we’d better not to put living things in the probe. Also, it’s not moral to treat life as an experiment because they may face danger in space.
